Our Story
As an avid cook, Clinton Akerberg was always in the kitchen trying new recipes, cutting, dicing, seasoning, and making a creative mess. One day, he noticed crumbs falling into the gap between his stove and countertop and his mind starting turning. Being a very neat and tidy person, he pulled out his stove and was completely appalled and amazed by what he found beneath the stove gap; Crumbs, oil drippings, rice granules, peppercorns, and worst of all... a dead mouse. Clinton immediately started searching to see what solutions were available, and to his surprise nothing like he envisioned for a stove gap filler was on the market. With this, the Crumb Catcher was born.
After trying out many ideas for a stove gap filler and hand making Crumb Catcher prototypes, he knew he needed a partner and recruited Kate Lyon to join his team. The Crumb Catcher is a product designed through trial and error and specific engineering. Our team takes great pride in offering a solution that keeps your kitchen clean while still keeping it sleek and clutter free with a product design that is completely out of sight.
